IKEA Family Personal Data Protection Notice

 

If you become a member of IKEA Family we will ask you for your name, address, e-mail address and date of birth. We need this information to register you as an IKEA Family member and to get to know you better and to be able to make personal offers.

We give you a unique IKEA Family number so you can log in easily on our website and mobile application. Moreover, you ensure that all your purchases are linked to your IKEA Family account. And that means that you can exchange or return them within 90 days from the day of purchase.

Whether it concerns data of your purchases, of designs you have made with the help of our planners, the contact you have had with the customer service or of the event you participated in - as long as you are an active IKEA Family member, we ensure that your data is retained.

We analyze all these data in order to better understand the wishes of our customers and thereby improve the shopping experience at IKEA. We are always concerned with obtaining a general picture. 

Once you are an IKEA Family member, you can indicate whether you want to be contacted for commercial purposes and via any medium, for example by SMS, e-mail or via mobile app notifications.

This way we can find you if we have something nice in store for you (new products, unique offers, inspiring workshops) or want to inform you about something else. For example, we can give you a signal as soon as the dream kitchen, which you have designed in our kitchen planner, has been discounted.
